Jamie Berry, Electro-Swing pioneer, and Krish T of ‘Middleman’ combine forces on their new single, Tribe, an upbeat summer-vibes Bass House anthem.
Jamie Berry & Krish T met over 10 years ago while being involved in dance music of totally opposite ends of the spectrum. Jamie, an internationally renowned leading pioneer of Electro-Swing whose first single ‘Delight’ managed to rack up over 25 million streams on Spotify/Apple Music and Krish, guitarist/co-songwriter in Leeds band Middleman who achieved success at home and overseas with their two album’s – ‘Spinning Plates’ and ‘Counterstep’ which led to Radio 1 play with Steve Lamacq, Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens and BBC6 Music play with Tom Robinson amongst others.
The thought of writing together had been in the pipeline for a while and in March 2024 the pair decided to get together in Jamie’s studio in the heart of Yorkshire to see what could happen. Aside from having a lot of fun there was a freedom in writing something with no boundaries which made the whole process move swiftly. Soon enough new music was ready to go in the form of their forthcoming single ‘Tribe’ which combines live instrumentation with programmed beats and synths creating upbeat, anthemic, summer-filled House – think Caravan Palace meets Daft Punk meets Caribou.
