Evil (CATJAM Remix)

It is rumoured that The Vaude Villainz conjure up their music using a series of long forgotten hoodoo practices, combining elements of the vintage swing sound together with pure unadulterated 21st century bass. When they released their debut EP ‘Voodoo Swing’ way back in 2015 they made big waves on the scene – waves that would be felt all the way from out of LA all the way to the UK, cementing the USA’s place on the map of Electro Swing.

With it’s sultry female vocals, and energetic but moody bassline, ‘Evil’ was one of the stand out tracks from the EP encapsulating the essence of the Vaude Villainz vibe.

Fast forward to 2023 and the classic ‘Evil’ track is ready for a turbo-charged remix by Ragtime stalwarts CATJAM.

CATJAM, known for pushing the envelope forward in DnB, UKG and Electro Swing with twisted breaks and big bass, but at the same time, good time. With this remix, CATJAM has breathed new life into the Vaude Villainz classic, preserving the original’s vibe and mystique but infusing it with pure DnB adrenaline, perfect for the rave.

Electro-Swingers and DnB heads alike can mark 12th December 2023 on their calendars as the release date for the CATJAM remix of ‘Evil’ by The Vaude Villainz.
