We’re very pleased to welcome Odd Chap back to the label with his remix of Thrill Ride. The original ‘Thrill Ride’ produced by Tom ESC & featuring the beautiful vocals of Emma Lea switches between tasty guitar hooks, fun swing beats, brass licks, and what can only be described as lush monkey island vibes.
In his remix, Odd Chap pays homage to the original, keeping to the same vibe, but with phatter chunkier beats and a heavier electronic bassline. In the breakdown Odd Chap builds a lush soundscape with Emma’s vocals, double bass and keys all beautifully tied together with a precise Hip Hop beat. Once the drop hits however, it’s time to get moving with phat double time drums, beefy electronic bass and big brass licks.
